I need a decent health insurance?

Alanna V asked:

Starting January 1, I need a helath insurance. I’ve been playing the field for quite a few months now, feeling that Golden Rule seems to be the most reasonable. I am still not sure if i should go with HSA or non-HSA option, then if it’s HSA, if choose regular plan (that covers all after deductible) or Saver option (doesn’t cover doctor’s visits or meds and other outpatient services after deductible). I’m 28, female with no health troubles. Any advice? I’m planning to go with the lowest deductible ($1000 or $1100).

Whatever you do, don’t do the saver option.

Doctor’s visits, medications, and outpatient services would be the bulk of your bill in about 80% (estimate, not an actual stat) of the situations you would need your health insurance.

It’s not so high of a gamble for someone of your age and health,,, but hell, if you want to take that risk then don’t bother with health insurance at all.

You are intelligent to want insurance, please don’t screw up that record with a bad choice like the saver option.
