Find a local insurance broker. They will decipher all the plans that meet your criteria. Our broker does everything for us, if someone has a question (and they are not sure of the answer) they will call the insurance company for us, that way we do not have to sit on the phone for hours. They will order new or additional cards and process claims. It sure makes life a lot easier.
I checked out the HSA Saver plans in your area,. The $5000/100 plan for $77 a month is a smart choice.
An HSA plan is an excellent choice. CareFirst Blue Cross plans cover preventive care such as annual physical/gynecological exams without having to meet the deductible first.
This plan will cover your needs, yet keep the monthly premium very reasonable. Also keep in mind that any medical expenses that do arise can be paid for with tax-free funds, at the, “allowed amount.” Allowed amounts are the pre-determined negotiated rate between CareFirst Blue Cross and the providers. This amount will be substantially lower than full retail. You win in several ways: Lower premium, tax benefits, lower out-of-pocket expenses when claim occurs, yet no expense for annual check-ups.
I have found good info about the health insurance plans one can choose from
